Tsiakkas Winery
The Tsiakkas winery is located in a secluded woodland area of the mountainous Pitsilia, close to the village of Pelendri, Cyprus. The winery was established in 1988 by Mr. Costas Tsiakkas, who at the age of 43 gave up a successful career in banking to devote himself to his winery.
The estate has 5 hectares of vineyards planted at an altitude of 1,000 to 1,400 meters that experience cold winters and mild summers. The poor soil conditions and high altitude keep the yields very low resulting in superb grape quality. Plantings include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Mataro and the rare variety of Vamvakada.
