Red Wines

Accounting for about 15 percent of Greece's total wine production, the red wines made from the primary indigenous varieties of Agiorgitiko, Kotsifaliv, Limnio, Mandilaria, Mavrodaphne, and Xinomavro are some of the most memorable wines; international varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are also very popular.
